My fellow Africans,
2024 is a year that will be remembered for generations to come. It is a year when we, the young generation of Africa, come together to usher in a new era of progress, unity, and fulfilment of destiny for Pan-Africa. It is a day when we stand up against the forces of oppression, inequality, and hate, and declare that we will no longer tolerate them in our generation.
For too long, our world in Africa has been divided by artificial boundaries or colonial prescribed borders and political ideologies that serve only to pit us against one another. Our older generation have been led to believe that their differences are irreconcilable, and that every successive generation of Africa must fight tooth and nail to protect their own individual interests. But today, we say no more.
Today, we declare that we are all citizens of Africa, the sons and daughters of our ancestral land ‘Alkebulan’, and that we will work together to unite the divided African nations and to create a better future for ourselves and for our future African generations. We will tear down the walls that separate us and build bridges of understanding and cooperation. We will reject the politics of division and embrace the govox-populi of unity.
We will work together to solve the Africa’s most pressing problems, from poverty and inequality to climate change and governmental instability and endemic corruption in government. We will create an African world in which everyone has the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their race, gender, religion, or ethnicity.
But make no mistake, this will not be easy. There will be those who resist our efforts, who seek to preserve the status quo of African disunity and maintain their own power and privilege in government. But we will not be deterred. We will stand together, as one united people, and we will overcome.
So let us march forward with our revolutionary arms in the air from this day with hope in our hearts and determination in our souls. Let us commit ourselves to the cause for a United Africa, and let us work tirelessly to create a better African world for ourselves and for all who come after us.
Thank you, and may we all be blessed with peace, love, and unity.
